Podcast Interview

Thank you for your interest in sharing your story on the Travel Worth Living podcast! Here is a general overview of what to expect.

Before Our Recording

  • If you have recording equipment, be prepared to use it and send me the file after our recording.

  • Familiarize yourself with the questions and outline below.

  • I use Skype to record each episode so please add me as a contact before our recording; my username is sethsutherland. If you are unable to use Skype, we can also use Zoom.

Brief Summary

During our conversation, you will be able to share your personal story of how travel has impacted and shaped your worldview. Although COVID-19 is wreaking havoc on the travel industry, sharing our stories is now more important than ever before. I want to help broaden people's perspectives and help them understand how special our planet truly is. We will talk about what makes travel worth living for you personally as well as why it is important for others to experience. This discussion will take place in the context of how you experience travel as we focus on your story, whether that is through sports, photography, career, holiday, etc.

Interview Questions

  • Tell me a little about yourself (Where were you born, raised, etc.? What do you do for a living?)

  • What are you most passionate about in regards to travel?

  • *There will be a few questions specific to your story that I'll ask here.*

  • "Rapid Fire Facts" - I'll ask you some fun questions and you'll say the first thing that comes to mind.

  • What makes travel worth it for you?

A Note About The Questions

I prefer to let the narrative drive the conversation, so the questions above are for reference only. Don't stress about preparing exactly what you're going to say; the conversation will flow naturally and I'll take the lead. All you have to do is share your story!

A Note About Recording

The interview will last about an hour to give us time for discussion before and after the recording, so plan accordingly. Unless you ask otherwise, I'll be recording both audio and video on Skype and may post the episode on YouTube in the future.

Follow Up

Your episode will premiere on a Thursday. I will be posting at least one picture on my Instagram and Facebook accounts each day during your episode week, except for Saturday.

If you have pictures in mind, please send me a preferred headshot of yourself for the episode thumbnail and at least 6 photos that I can post throughout your episode week.

I look forward to our conversation and am very excited to share your travel story with my audience!
